Emily Martin reviewed the Compliance Monitoring Program story map now live on the Forestry Department website, describing the content: program purpose, links to study plans and protocols (reforestation, riparian, roads, steep slopes), Board of Forestry interaction, and material explaining how CMP work intersects with the Habitat Conservation Program (HCP).
"We've been working on the general content for the story map," Emily said, noting the map includes links to completed study plans and protocols and a timeline of CMP activities. Seth cautioned that the HCP tie-in should not give the impression that the CMP exists solely for the HCP: "I would encourage you... to capture a broader view... certification (SFI, FSC, Oregon Tree Farm) also relies on this program," he said, asking that the map reflect the program's broader role in certification and training.
Emily acknowledged the point and agreed to consider language changes. She also said staff will continue to link deliverables and study plans on the site and will circulate final protocols to the committee when finished. The story map will remain a place to access protocols, deliverables and contact information for the CMP team.
Next steps: Emily and Adam said they will circulate final study protocols to committee members and consider edits to the story map copy to ensure it reflects CMP's multiple roles beyond the HCP.
