Residents press Delran council on noise enforcement, bike-lane study and stormwater problems

Multiple residents raised neighborhood concerns during the public portion of the Aug. 12 Delran Township Council meeting. Monica and William Miasek of 183 Westover Court told council members that loud music from 177 Forge Road shakes the glass wall in Ms. Miasek’s bedroom and said police and the current ordinance make enforcement difficult. Solicitor Mr. Marmero said he would review the noise ordinance and attempt to simplify enforcement options.
Other public commenters asked about the Army Corps of Engineers schedule and a feasibility study for a proposed Route 130 bike lane. Charlie Silvestri reported repeated pooling at intersections in his neighborhood (Drexel & Colby; Drexel, Baylor & Fordham). Council and staff asked for lists of affected roads and said the township’s engineering consultants would coordinate resurfacing timing with the county.
