Staff: strategic-growth and water-supply work will inform housing action planning and grant competitiveness

"One of the things they asked us to consider was do we have the utility water and infrastructure needs to meet the housing development that we're going to try to scope for in this housing action plan," a staff member said, describing DOLA’s guidance on aligning utility capacity and housing goals.
Staff added that Englewood previously completed a housing needs assessment and is beginning a long-range affordable-housing plan; the water and strategic-growth analyses can both inform those efforts and strengthen applications for state-local planning grants.
