The Planning and Zoning Commission voted to approve the minutes from the July 7 meeting after a short procedural exchange about missing materials.
Commissioner Brenda asked that the record reflect the commission did not receive April 13 study-session materials prior to a July 7 study session and suggested council be informed. "I would just like to add ... the April 13 council study session materials were not provided to the Planning and Zoning Commission prior to the July 7 study session," Brenda said, expressing concern that the commission had considered an item without seeing the same materials council had seen.
City Attorney Jackson advised the commission that altering the prior meeting minutes was not the appropriate mechanism and recommended either raising the issue under commissioners' choice at the current meeting or sending a separate communication to council. The chair agreed to place the matter in the commissioner's choice section so the group could discuss a separate communication. Following that procedural discussion, Commissioner Michelle moved to approve the July 7 minutes; the motion was seconded by Noah and the motion passed.
