Union City schedules Sept. 16 public hearing on zoning amendment; parking ordinance to be advertised

Borough Manager Cindy Wells told the council the next regular meeting will be Monday, Sept. 16, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., and that the meeting will include a public hearing on an amendment to the zoning ordinance. The public hearing will be advertised twice as required by statute before the hearing takes place.
Wells also said Council will vote on an amendment to the parking ordinance and that the advertisement for that measure will be made as required. She urged Council members to attend related community events, including a Devereaux Day kickoff on Sept. 13 to highlight park and trail improvements and to promote the Erie-to-Pittsburgh trailhead.
The announcements were part of a round of calendar and planning updates; no formal zoning changes were adopted at the Aug. 27 meeting and the public will have at least two notices before the hearing.
