Union City approves retroactive $5,000 ATV purchase for winter maintenance

Union City Borough Council approved a retroactive purchase of a 2021 CF Moto CForce 600 ATV with a plow for $5,000 from Marvin Phillips at its Oct. 7 meeting. Councilor Joyce moved the retroactive approval and Councilor Steadman seconded the motion.
The borough said the ATV will be used to plow bridges and sidewalks, assist with park cleanup and collect trash. Leisure Time in Corry, Pa., inspected the vehicle and noted only normal wear items (air filter, fluids, possible tires and wheel bearings in the future). Funding for the purchase will come from the borough's Capital Equipment fund.
