Selectboard accepts low Alliance bids for multiple Kirby road projects

The Kirby Selectboard voted April 6 to accept the lowest bids from Alliance Consulting & Excavating LLC for several summer road projects, following a bid analysis provided by Ruggles Engineering. Nate Sicard of Ruggles recommended that the board accept the lowest bidder on all listed projects; the board adopted that recommendation and voted to award the contracts to Alliance.
Ruggles Engineering’s tabulation (delivered as an attachment during the meeting) lists Alliance as the low bidder on Town Hall Road, Ridge Road and Brook Road, and shows dollar amounts and rank variance for other bidders. The board’s action covered acceptance “as written” of Alliance’s bids. The bid documents were recorded as part of the meeting packet and will govern award and contracting steps going forward.
