Planning Commission to reformat zoning bylaws, to review Roberts Road rezoning question and ACT 181 implications

Will Goodwin, the town zoning administrator, told the commission he is reformatting Section 2 of the Zoning Bylaws and will distribute a new copy when complete. Pam Spaulding read an email from Paul Abraham that asked whether the Roberts Road area had been considered for rezoning after a Development Review Board variance revealed many lots there are nonconforming; Will said he will send a map of the area for commission review.
Will also reported he will check the implications of ACT 181 for the bylaws but expects most changes to be primarily verbiage. Commissioners discussed whether select-board action was required for some items (for example, noise ordinances) and whether certain animal- or lighting-related complaints fall under Select Board jurisdiction rather than zoning.
