The commission recorded that the last full update of the town's zoning bylaws was in 2009; members said they will take a methodical approach and meet again on Jan. 12 to continue their review. No adoption or final votes on the bylaw text were taken at the Dec. 22 meeting.
The review approach and the consultant funding amount were presented as background to explain why the draft exists in its current form and why commissioners chose removal of unenforceable items rather than a full rewrite.
