Londonderry Selectboard unanimously adopts 2025 Town Plan after limited statutory updates

The Londonderry Selectboard voted unanimously Oct. 20 to adopt the 2025 Town Plan after a Planning Commission presentation and public comment. Martha Dale moved to adopt the plan and Jim Fleming seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Pamela Spaulding of the Planning Commission told the board the draft "had only those sections updated that needed to be changed in order to get it re-adopted per Vermont State Statute." She said the commission limited changes to comply with state requirements and plans to revisit the full plan after the town's Zoning Bylaws are finalized and adopted, "hopefully next year." Spaulding thanked Patty Eisenhaur and the Housing Commission and Larry Gubb and the Wastewater Committee for their contributions to the update.
Jen Greenfield, Planning Commission Chair, said consultant Matt Bachler from WRC helped identify the sections that required updates; Greenfield listed land use, housing, wastewater and census information among the items revised to meet statutory requirements. The adoption formalizes those limited updates but does not preclude a broader rewrite when the commission completes the zoning bylaws work.
The meeting record shows the public hearing was opened by Chair Tom Cavanagh at 5:00 p.m. and closed before the regular meeting, which was called to order at 5:10 p.m.; the meeting adjourned at 5:13 p.m.
