Londonderry Planning Commission adopts updated Town Plan, sends it to Selectboard

The Londonderry Planning Commission voted unanimously on Sept. 26 to adopt an updated Town Plan and forward it to the Selectboard for consideration at its Sept. 29 meeting, Chair Jennifer Greenfield said.
"The proposed Town Plan has had only those sections updated that needed to be changed in order to get it re-adopted per Vermont Statutes," Greenfield said at the public hearing opening, noting the commission planned a fuller review once the zoning bylaws are finalized and adopted.
Commissioners said the limited edits were prompted in part by grant timing: several grants depend on the town having an updated plan. During the meeting, a resident and committee members asked about the plan deadline; the commission said the technical due date was Oct. 2 and that they discovered the deadline only in early August, prompting a focused update of required sections to preserve eligibility for funding.
Clerk Pamela J. Spaulding moved to adopt the Town Plan as written and send it to the Selectboard on Sept. 29, 2025; Brent Bammarito seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The Selectboard is scheduled to hold its own public hearing and act on the plan at its Sept. 29 meeting. The commission said it expects to revisit the Town Plan in more depth next year after zoning bylaw work is complete.
