District directors report low violation counts in annual ROE inspections

District facilities directors presented the Regional Office of Education’s annual inspection results and said the ROE walked every space in district buildings during the inspection window. "I'm very proud to say, as always, our inspection numbers are extremely low as it relates to buildings of our size," the presenting director said, noting that nine buildings had 10 or fewer violations and most remaining schools had fewer than 20 items to address.
The presenters explained that some issues were corrected immediately and the rest are being processed through summer work orders; the ROE will reinspect items where quick fixes were applied. They outlined the inspection schedule — inspections were completed in September for many schools and the next ROE schedule begins around Aug. 23 — and said facility supervisors and fire marshals accompany ROE teams. Board members asked whether any items required immediate action; presenters said a few did and were handled promptly.
