Osage City Council approves agenda and consent items; roll call lists seven officials present

At its Jan. 14 meeting the Osage City Council approved the agenda and a consent package that included minutes and four resolutions (1127–1130). The motion and subsequent consent agenda motions were recorded as carried 6-0.
The Osage City Council convened on Jan. 14, 2025, in the Osage City Council Chamber. Mayor Brian Stromgren presided and the clerk recorded attendance: Council Members Kathy Ayers, Shirley Bausman, Mike Handly, Susan Smith and Jeanette Swarts were present in person; Jeff Tice participated remotely. Two members were absent. The council approved the meeting agenda on a motion by Council Member Jeanette Swarts, seconded by Kathy Ayers; the motion was declared carried, 6-0.
Council then approved the consent agenda that included the Dec. 17, 2024 regular meeting minutes and these resolutions: Resolution 1127 (appropriation by fund for the 2025 budget year), Resolution 1128 (GAAP waiver for 2024 cash-basis and budget laws), Resolution 1129 (designation of the official city newspaper), and Resolution 1130 (designation of depositories and authorized signatures). The consent vote was moved by Swarts and seconded by Susan Smith and recorded as carried, 6-0. The clerk, Amy Woodward, attested the meeting minutes.
