Penfield staff close out draft Active Transportation Plan, will finalize and bring resolution to board

Mark Valentine told the board that the Active Transportation Plan public hearing is complete, staff has collected feedback and the consultant is finalizing the greenhouse gas inventory and cost figures. He said the document will serve both as a local planning resource and as an advocacy tool when coordinating with the county and state DOTs.
Board members asked about more specific cost estimates and priority intersections; staff said the plan contains order‑of‑magnitude planning costs (per linear foot, per fixture) and that feasibility studies or project‑specific analyses would be the next step to refine costs. Staff will do one last pass for typographical corrections and then bring a resolution for the board to accept the final document.
