Ordinance 1813 includes an electric-rate schedule that sets meter charges and per-kWh costs for 2025 through 2029. For 2025 the ordinance shows residential and commercial meter charges of $16.00 and $25.00 and a base cost per kWh of $0.12; subsequent years in the ordinance tables show incremental increases (for example, the residential cost-per-kWh is listed at $0.1275 for 2026 and $0.15 by 2029).
Large-volume customers are subject to a $100.00 customer charge with tiered kWh pricing across usage bands (first 200,000 kWh, 200,000–400,000 kWh, and 400,000+ kWh). The ordinance also includes a rule that if KWH usage exceeds 400,000 the entire bill will be calculated using the 400,000+ rate. The ordinance sets a $500-per-pole fee for customer-requested pole installations and lists an item labeled "Hi-Lighters" with a $200 installation charge and $10 monthly fee. City Administrator Brogan Jones presented these tables during the meeting; the ordinance was adopted and is effective for the Feb. 28, 2025 billing date.
