Village of Warrens HR Committee holds orientation; no official actions taken

The Village of Warrens Human Resources Committee convened an orientation session on Jan. 16, 2026, at Village Hall, 301 Main St., beginning at 10:45 a.m. The meeting notice stated the session was "for informational and orientation purposes only" and that committee members had not been formally appointed by Village Board resolution. Committee members present were Alana Werner, Jeff Le Mere and Terri Swope; Village Clerk Tonna Claussen was listed on the agenda as staff present.

During the orientation the committee reviewed its advisory purpose to the Village Board and the expectations of committee members, and heard an overview of Open Meetings Law requirements. Agenda items listed for informational discussion included an Employee Handbook overview and initial feedback, and a review of position descriptions for the Clerk and Treasurer. The agenda specifically noted that discussion topics are for orientation, review, and planning and that "no official actions, motions, or recommendations will be made." Jeffrey Le Mere was identified to sign the Committee Member Acknowledgment/Agreement.

A motion to adjourn was recorded with Terri Swope listed as mover and Jeff Le Mere as second; the meeting time is given as 11:42 a.m. The agenda lists the next meeting as "to be determined after Village Board appointments" and provides posted locations as the Village website, Village Office, Warrens Mall and Warrens Post Office.
