Elk City residents tell board deconsolidation feels rushed; call for state funding

Later in the meeting, Sue Phillips, another Elk City resident who said she had been approached by many neighbors, told trustees residents wanted a voice and did not feel listened to in earlier engagements. Trustees responded by saying they had heard community concerns and reiterated that the board’s vote was only to send a plan to the state and that the patrons would decide in May.
