The Claymont City Board of Education elected Solomon Peters as its president for 2026 during the board's Jan. 12 organizational meeting. Mrs. Host moved to elect Peters and Ms. Campbell seconded; the motion passed on a roll call vote with four members voting yes and one abstention by Mr. Peters.
Following the vote, Treasurer Kim Beckley administered the Oath of Office for President to Solomon Peters. The vote record in the meeting minutes lists Mrs. Host, Ms. Campbell and Mrs. Grandison voting yes, Mr. Peters abstaining, and Mrs. Wolf voting yes. The board proceeded afterward to elect other officers and approve organizational items for the year.
