The Mossyrock City Council convened Sept. 17 with Mayor Randall Sasser presiding and approved the consent agenda after a motion by Council Member Shannon Mcarron and a second by Juliana Simon.
Council members present included Mayor Randall Sasser, Treasurer Jessica Bragg and council members Juliana Simon, Sam Schellenger, Teresa Quinlan and Shannon Mcarron; the city engineer and Chief Cole Cournyer were excused. The minutes note that one council seat remains open and a potential appointee has indicated interest but would be three days short of the city’s one-year residency requirement. The council discussed asking commissioners about a temporary extension of the rule by one week and encouraged the individual to submit a letter of intent.
The meeting record shows routine procedural actions were completed before substantive agenda items. No vote was taken on changing the residency requirement during the Sept. 17 session.
