Chokio-Alberta board accepts resignation and authorizes two hires starting Jan. 20

The Chokio-Alberta Public Schools board approved several personnel actions at the Dec. 16 meeting. The board accepted the resignation of Rachel Volker from her roles as Elementary Special Education Teacher, Book Fair Advisor and High School Student Council Advisor, effective Jan. 18, 2025. That motion was made by Christina Pederson and seconded by Matt Westerman and carried unanimously.
The board also approved two hires to fill or support the vacated role and extracurricular advising: Susan Hennen was hired as a long-term substitute Elementary Special Education Teacher effective Jan. 20, 2025 through the end of the 2024–25 school year (motion by Matt Westerman, second by Kurt Staples); and Shaun McNally was hired as Co-Advisor for the High School Student Council effective Jan. 20, 2025 (motion by Christina Pederson, second by Robyn Marty).
