The Board approved a wide slate of personnel actions on June 25 covering summer assignments, extended-school-year staffing, new 2026–27 hires, resignations and contract agreements.
Approved hires included long-term substitutes and new full-time staff; the Board accepted retirements and resignations effective June 30. Two contracts were approved: for School Business Administrator James Testa and Assistant Superintendent Joseph Uglialoro for the 2026–27 school year. The Board also approved summer curriculum-writing appointments, ESSA/Title III assignments, and an adjusted 12-month summer hours schedule for office staff.
Superintendent Dr. Lauren Zirpoli introduced several new employees at the meeting. She welcomed Sharon O'Day, who will serve as a 12-month secretary at Allen W. Roberts, and said, "We are very excited to bring her on board." She also introduced Craig Burfeindt, the new high-school video and media design teacher, and Olivia DeLuca, the new athletic trainer, noting their prior experience and the District's enthusiasm about their hires.
The motions carried on roll call with one member absent. The administration said onboarding would proceed over the summer and that background checks and other conditions (where required) are subject to completion.
