The board approved a one‑year time‑and‑materials electrical contract (with renewal option) for services described as installation and provision of electrical power to equipment, a scope distinct from existing controls work provided by Riley Electric. Commissioners asked whether this contract would overlap with Riley’s term; Director Scott explained the two firms serve different specialty areas and that Riley would still be used for controls.
"In this case, they're doing different type of service... Providing the electrical to the equipment that things run," Scott said. A motion to accept the contract (through 06/30/2027) was moved by a commissioner, seconded and approved by voice vote.
