Cobb Mountain LAPAC to synthesize survey input into five deliverables for area-plan update

Mireya Turner, community development director, told the Cobb Mountain Area Plan Advisory Committee the next step is to compile the LAPAC input and survey responses into a set of five deliverables. "So so far, my plan was, next week when we're done with LAPAC meetings is I start working on gathering this data into and process sort of synthesizing it into the 5 deliverables that each LAPAC is going to forward, to the core team for informing the update," Turner said.

Turner explained the five deliverables are: input on the second community survey, amendments for community growth boundaries, land-use designation amendments, planning-area boundary amendments, and input on existing policies/objectives/implementations. Members pressed staff to make the GOBIs (goals, objectives, policies, implementations) more implementation‑focused. "As I look through them, the policies actually seem some of them seem to be implementation light," Elliot Hurwitz said, urging that specific implementation measures be tied to objectives.

Staff said they will compile packets for each planning area, circulate them to the LAPAC for review before sending materials to the core team, and follow up as needed. Turner asked Elliot to share the working document link and said she will add members to the mailing list for the next steps.
