Planning staff (Eric Becker) explained the ordinance ‘‘would provide for an exemption to the traffic impact fee for any of these units being created. This is required by the RCW.’’ The ordinance was moved, seconded and approved unanimously. Planning staff also noted the Planning Commission had unanimously recommended the ordinance to the council.
The ordinance changes local code to align with the state statute; the meeting packet contains the staff report, draft ordinance language, and the Planning Commission recommendation. The council did not add conditions or amendments on the record.
