Council approves third amendment to T‑Mobile site lease; monthly rent set to rise in 2028

Miller, the city's public works director, told the council this is ‘‘the 3rd amendment to the option and site lease agreement with T Mobile’’ and said the rent would increase ‘‘from the $1,238.50 a month to the $2,585.49 a month’’ beginning on 10/05/2028, and that ‘‘after that date, every 5 years, it'll go up by 15%’’ with five additional five‑year extensions available. Miller said the site is at the park's water tank and is the highest point in the area.
Councilmembers asked about prior equipment removal and paint maintenance; Miller said the amendment clarifies responsibilities for repairing scratches and restoring areas if equipment is removed and that existing easements and maintenance obligations remain in place. The motion to approve passed unanimously.
