Pleasant View City Council on Jan. 13 assigned council liaisons and leadership roles for Founders Day and the city’s Pleasant View 175 planning. Mayor Steve Gibson said he will provide overall leadership and coordination; Councilmember David Marriott was named Chair of Founders Day planning; Councilmember Sean Wilkinson will oversee races/early-morning activities; Councilmember Johnny Ferry will lead the Car Show; Councilmember Ann Arrington will serve as Mayor Pro Tem and assist with parade-related activities.
Andrea Z. Steiniger presented a resolution supporting America250 Utah and recognizing the Pleasant View Utah250 Community Committee; Councilmember David Marriott moved adoption of Resolution 2026-A and the council approved it unanimously (5-0). Staff and community volunteers were identified to fill specific tasks and committees. Council directed members to be mindful of quorum rules in subcommittee meetings and asked to coordinate event planning through the mayor’s office and designated leads.
