Pleasant View City Council approved an interlocal agreement with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) that authorizes up to $250,000 in reimbursement to the city for constructing dual left-turn lanes at SR-134 (2700 N) and 1740 West. The council voted unanimously to enter the agreement.
Andrea Z. Steiniger explained that the funding arrangement results from developer requests tied to the Farr West Development; UDOT agreed to contribute up to $250,000 toward the left-turn improvements but requires the funding to go to the city first, with the city dispersing funds to the developers. Councilmember David Marriott moved approval; the motion passed 5-0. The agreement is intended to facilitate safe traffic flow and fulfill developer and UDOT requirements for the planned development.
