Pleasant View City Council voted unanimously to award a $189,211.00 contract to Forefront General Contracting for the sewer line extension along US‑89 to 3000 North.
Tyson Jackson told the council the project will support construction of the city's new decant facility, help meet stormwater compliance requirements and may serve neighboring communities. He said coordination with property owners along US‑89 included agreements to connect three homes to the new sewer main, replacing their septic systems. The recommended award included an optional bid item allowing either boring or open‑cut trenching depending on contractor approach.
Councilmember Sara Urry moved to award the contract; Councilmember Dave Marriott seconded. The motion passed 5‑0. Staff noted the work ties into the existing sewer main and supports broader stormwater compliance objectives.
