Court adds Crime Stoppers to jury-donation form to allow juror contributions

Representatives of Lavaca County Crime Stoppers requested that the organization be added to the county’s jury-donation form so jurors can donate their juror pay. James Fenner, speaking on behalf of Crime Stoppers, thanked county staff for assistance during the group's reorganization and asked for the addition.
Judge Keith Mudd moved to approve the request and the court voted to add Crime Stoppers to the list of potential recipients for juror donations. Fenner and board members were present at the meeting and the court noted Crime Stoppers has an updated website and outreach materials.
