The Claymont City Board accepted multiple personnel recommendations from Superintendent Brian Rentsch on May 11, including resignations and the approval of certified and classified staff contracts for the 2026‑2027 school year.
Resignations accepted included Amy Rossi (ELA teacher, retirement effective May 29, 2026), Clara Warner (music), Carrie Kunkle (art), and Samuel Schafer (preferred custodial sub). The board also approved three‑year administrative contracts for Brian Watkins (Middle School Principal) and Nino Pangrazio (School Psychologist), a slate of certified and classified contracts across one‑ to three‑year limits and continuing appointments, summer custodial appointments and a summer technology intern (Jacob Flood) at $15/hr pending credentialing, and a list of classified substitutes pending credentialing.
Mr. Peters congratulated Amy Rossi on her retirement during the meeting. The board recorded unanimous roll call approval for the superintendent’s recommendations as presented at the meeting.
