Board approves leaves, new hires, substitutes and student teacher placements

The board also approved one-year limited contracts for Kayla Cromley (educational aide) and Dan Kinsey (bus floater) with 90-day probationary periods pending credentialing.
Additional approvals included up to 30 extended service days for Jasmine Russell for the 2025–26 school year and approval of Lily Specht as a student teacher for 2026–27 with mentors Staci Dunn and Shannon Viebranz. The board approved a slate of classified substitutes for the 2025–26 school year, including Cynthia Huyghe and Mike Slorgie (retroactive to March 2, 2026) pending proper credentialing. On roll call the motions carried unanimously.
