Power Director Jeremy Franklin told the board Rocky Mountain Power had issued a high fire watch that could prompt precautionary outages depending on wind, temperature and humidity conditions.
Franklin described the criteria (wind, temperature and humidity) that would inform any decision to cut power and said the measures are part of wildfire prevention and liability‑reduction efforts. The board noted the possible community impact, given planned events at the Old Rock Church.
Separately, Franklin said temporary power had been provided to the new Maverick gas station, which is progressing quickly and expects an October opening. The board received the reports and did not take formal action.
