The Henry Hudson Regional Board approved the appointment of William Jacoutot as District Director of Curriculum & Instruction for the 2026–2027 school year with an annual salary of $149,704 and eligibility for family benefits beginning July 1, 2026.
Superintendent Dr. Tara Beams recommended Jacoutot and framed the hire as an opportunity to "promote from within," calling internal advancement a district priority. The board also approved creating a stipend position, Lead Curriculum Resource Teacher, with a stipend of $5,200 per year, and several leaves of absence and extra-curricular appointments as presented in the superintendent’s consent agenda. Personnel motions passed by roll call (Yes: 9, No: 0).
The board noted that the Supervisor of Instruction position attracted a large number of applicants and that final interviews were scheduled; the Highlands Elementary principal position was posted. The approval package included standard criminal-history and certification contingencies for internships and volunteers where noted.
