Residents press board on C&I changes, merging schools and loss of part-time social worker

Later in the general-comment period she again suggested discussing consolidation of elementary schools.
Jessica Noonan asked about the elimination of a part-time social worker position; Superintendent Dr. Tara Beams responded that active cases have been distributed across staff and described the plans for filling posted positions. The administration and board did not make a final policy decision about school consolidation or expanded mental-health staffing at the meeting; both remain topics for follow-up and clarification.
