Alexandria reports $18,543 recovered from police inventory sales; council weighs where to place funds

Administrator Kendra Borror told the council that police inventory transferred to the village on June 26 and that sales of that inventory had recovered $18,543 between April 1 and July 7. "From April 1st to July 7th, we have recovered $18,543 from the sales of the police inventory," Borror said, and she asked whether some or all of the funds should be placed in the Capital Improvements fund instead of the general fund.
Council members did not take an immediate vote on the allocation; the fiscal officer said staff would finalize amounts from the police dissolution by the end of July. The council will decide on fund allocation as part of budget follow-up once final accounting is complete.
