Century Park upgrades reopen slides, climbing wall and zip line

The improvements focused on the park's lower section. "Crews installed new stairs, railings, sidewalks, and strategic landscaping to help address problems with erosion around the hillside slides," Eaves reported, and added that drainage improvements will redirect water from areas that previously got washed out. The hillside slides, climbing wall and 100-foot zip line are now fully open, and the city expects the upgrades to help keep attractions at Benson's Automotive's Kids Planet accessible after heavy rain.
