The Selectboard voted to adopt an updated Personnel Policy effective Oct. 1, 2025. Key changes include expanded at-will language, clarified sick leave coverage, narrowed nepotism language with an exception waiver, removal of mandatory drug testing for non‑CDL drivers, performance-based decisions, revised vacation accrual (up to five days with additional accrual for years of service), naming Tina Labeau as a reporter for sexual-harassment claims, and adding Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Juneteenth and Bennington Battle Day to the holiday schedule.
The board also voted to warn a public hearing on Oct. 29 at 5:00 p.m. at the Town Office to consider adoption of the amended Town Plan per 24 V.S.A. §4385(a). In a separate motion the board authorized Londonderry’s participation in any National Opioid Settlements and empowered the Town Administrator to enter the town into settlements and sign required documents. All motions passed unanimously.
