Town staff told the Selectboard that paving is complete around town, shouldering has begun on the southbound lane of Winhall Hollow Road, Under the Mountain Road work continues (culverts then top coating), and the Rhinehart Road culvert is done except for guard rails. One remaining tree-trimming project on Hell’s Peak Road was noted.
Chris Blackey asked that both lanes be closed for Halloween from Main Street to Town Hall; the board approved extending the closure to include Main Street and Middletown Road from 5–7 p.m. on Oct. 31 and asked the Town Administrator to contact the sheriff’s office and engage parks staff for traffic assistance. Separately, the board approved a letter of support authorizing the Chair to sign for an additional $300,000 TAP (Transportation Alternatives Program) grant opportunity for the Spring Hill Road culvert project.
