Resident and board back effort to preserve historic Ezekial Glazier House

Part-time Weston resident Eric Richard introduced a proposal to preserve the historic Ezekial Glazier House (known locally as "Squeak’s House") and reported that a structural engineer found the building generally sound though the foundation may need replacement. Richard said outreach has begun to local, state, and national historic-restoration groups and to potential grant sources; an application was submitted to the Village Wastewater Project to investigate a wastewater connection.
Zoning Administrator Will Goodwin told the board the Historical Society should be involved and might manage the project. The Selectboard agreed that preserving the Glazier House would enhance the town and encouraged continued outreach and pursuit of funds for restoration work. Possible future uses discussed included a museum linked to Burton Snowboards and public restrooms in the basement.
