The Fryeburg Select Board unanimously tabled action to approve using contingency funds to purchase a new zero‑turn mower at the June 25 meeting.
Select Board member Jim Tyrrell moved to table the item and Cindy Lawrence seconded. Lawrence asked why a price was not obtained from Diesel Works. Town Manager Katie Haley told the board that if the approval is not granted at this meeting, authorization would have to come from FY2027 contingency funds.
The board did not approve a vendor or release contingency funds at the meeting. The item is deferred to a meeting when a full board can consider the procurement and any vendor quotes.
