At its March 23 meeting the Jamaica Select Board approved several liquor license applications and issued overweight vehicle permits for local contractors after confirming required payments and insurance certificates.
Chair moved to approve a first‑class outside consumption and third‑class restaurant/bar license for Abe's Foods and Goods LLC (the entity associated with River & Rye) and a second‑class retail beer and wine license for Blue Dot Beverages LLC (Melman's Craft Beverages). The board approved the licenses by voice vote.
The board also approved overweight permits for Barrett Trucking, Kota and Kota Inc., and Plimpton Excavating after staff verified payment and proof of insurance. Greg noted the permits had receipts and certificates of insurance on file before the motions were passed.
