The board accepted the resignations of Devon Anthony (effective Jan. 14, 2026) and Tina Jones (effective Feb. 20, 2026). It approved Amanda Belknap as a band volunteer (retroactive to Jan. 12, 2026), Joey Lunsford as an after‑school high‑school credit recovery instructor (paid at the tutor rate), and amended an unpaid leave for Alexis Stallman (new dates Feb. 20–Apr. 15, 2026). The board also voted to remain members of the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) for the 2026–27 seasons.
On policy and program items the board approved the district Gifted Identification Plan and Gifted Education Policy, the Stark State College College Credit Plus agreement, multiple technology policies (Internet Filtering; Responsible Use; Staff Responsible Use signature page), and several board policy updates including Policy 6.09 Preventing Chronic Absenteeism (effective Aug. 1, 2026) among others. The board also approved specified classified substitutes pending proper credentialing.
