The City Clerk's Office delivered an annual report to the Henderson City Council summarizing operations, records management, elections work, and customer service improvements. The clerk reported more than 2,500 public-records requests were processed in the past year with about 90% completed within two weeks; passport processing totaled 8,182 applications; and in-person voter participation increased notably in the 2026 primary election.
Staff also noted improvements in multilingual access ("We Speak Your Language") and stated the city submitted its legislatively required 2026 Language Access Plan update. The council opened and closed the public hearing on the plan with no public commenters and voted to accept and approve the update. The clerk thanked staff and partners and said a new public-records management system will be implemented later this year to improve tracking and responsiveness.
