The Kimball City Council approved multiple event-related requests on July 7, clearing a path for the Chamber's "Echos of the Past" event on August 9 and a separate July 12 reunion at the American Legion.
Jesslon Walsh requested temporary street closures for Main Street (Broad to 3rd, 3rd to 2nd for evening hours, and portions north of 2nd) and possibly a block of 2nd Street near Club Vega and First Dakota National Bank; the council approved the closure application and recommended notifying affected business owners as a courtesy. The council also approved a temporary on-sale liquor license for the Kimball American Legion (July 12, '90s Class Reunion).
Separately, the council voted to sponsor the event's cookoff meal and authorized payment for meat up to $1,000 (motion by Dayle Blasius, second by Angel Stellwag; roll call vote 5-0). The minutes record no special conditions attached to these approvals.
