The Tift County Board of Commissioners approved multiple alcohol beverage license applications at its Jan. 12 meeting.
County Clerk Miriam Jordan reported that the sheriff reviewed the applications and recommended approval. For Spring Hill Country Club (5 E Springhill Dr), "the Sheriff has reviewed the application and recommends approval," Jordan said; the board approved a Retail Malt Beverage Consumption, Retail Wine Consumption and Retail Distilled Spirits Consumption license for the club. The board also approved package licenses for Chula Texaco (104 Chula Brookfield Rd) and several other businesses listed on the consent agenda. All alcohol license approvals passed by recorded consent or voice vote.
The approvals were routine and contingent on standard licensing requirements; the board did not discuss additional conditions during the meeting. New licensees must comply with state and local regulations and any sheriff’s office conditions before full operation under the license.
