The grant was listed on the consent agenda and approved without additional conditions. "Motion to Accept the Hurricane Disaster Recovery Grant Award from OneGeorgia in the Amount of $1,920,000 to Assist with Flooding and Street and Water System Improvements in the Phillipsburg Neighborhood and to Authorize the Chairman to Execute All Necessary Award Documents," the consent reading states. Commissioner Donnie Hester moved to approve the consent agenda; the motion passed 6–0.
County staff will be responsible for executing award documents and coordinating project design and procurement consistent with county procurement policy and the grant’s terms. The board did not vote on project-level contracts during the meeting; those will return for future board action as required by procurement rules and the grant agreement.
