The board approved a revised BET reference manual after committee review and several proposed edits. The Human Resources Committee's responsibilities were clarified to include developing recommendations for BET action within the scope of powers described in the charter (citations included in packet language), and language was added requiring evaluation of fiscal implications of changes in the table of organization. Members also approved a handful of scrivener edits and wording changes suggested by Joshua Brown and others.
The chair thanked the committee leads and the staff member who compiled the manual for completing a project that had not been revised for many years. The manual passed by voice vote; members agreed any further substantive policy changes could be routed to the relevant standing committees for review.
