Tracy Kennedy, the city's Parks and Recreation director, presented a memorandum of understanding between the City of Airway Heights and the Cheney School District allowing district employees access to membership options at the Airway Heights Recreation Center under applicable insurance programs. "This is consideration of a memorandum of understanding with Cheney School District," Kennedy said.
The item had been briefed at a prior study session; Councilmember Morton moved to approve and the motion passed unanimously, 6-0. The MOU was described as intended to increase awareness among school-district employees of insurance programs that provide access to recreation-center memberships; no fiscal impact beyond the existing facility operations was discussed.
