The Norfolk City Planning Commission on July 20 recommended approval of a conditional use permit that would permit the Generic Theater of Virginia to sell alcoholic beverages on premises at a space inside the Norfolk Masonic Temple at 7001 Granby Street.
Staff described the proposed floor plans and operating hours (11AM–midnight daily) and recommended approval with conditions set out in the staff report. The applicant, Randy Miller, said he had nothing to add to staff’s presentation and the commission voted to recommend approval to City Council. The recommendation will be forwarded with the staff conditions for Council consideration.
