Selectboard approves temporary log-landing access over town parcel

A request for temporary logging access across town-owned land was presented to the Selectboard on Oct. 6 and approved unanimously. Forester Rick Kelley told the board the access had been used successfully in the past and emphasized safety near Route 11 favored using the town road for access; Taylor Prouty moved to approve access for Robert Kohler to use Town Parcel 066068.000 as a temporary log landing for Parcel 112137.000, and Jim Fleming seconded the motion.
The approval requires the temporary access be removed upon completion of logging activity on Parcel 112137.000. The motion passed without recorded opposition.
